FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q1.What does "token-gated" mean?
Token-gated means access to this dashboard requires you to hold a specific Cardano token or NFT in your wallet. The admin can configure which policy IDs grant access. If no gate is set, the tool is open to everyone.
Q2.How does the airdrop snapshot work?
The snapshot tool queries the Koios API to fetch all holder addresses for any Cardano policy ID. You can combine multiple policies with AND (intersection) or OR (union) logic, then review and filter the holder list before calculating distributions.
Q3.What distribution modes are available?
Equal split (every holder gets the same amount), proportional (holders receive amounts proportional to their token balance), and tiered (configurable brackets where different holding sizes receive different amounts).
Q4.Does the airdrop tool send transactions automatically?
Yes — once configured, the Execute step batches up to 70 recipients per transaction and prompts your connected wallet to sign each batch. You remain in control; no transaction is submitted without your wallet signature.
Q5.What wallets are supported?
Any Cardano browser wallet that supports the CIP-30 standard works, including Lace, Nami, Eternl, Flint, and Typhon. The wallet must be installed as a browser extension.
Q6.Is my wallet data stored?
No. All wallet interactions happen directly in your browser via the Mesh SDK. Your keys, addresses, and balance data never leave your machine or touch our servers.
Q7.What is the minimum ADA per output?
Cardano requires a minimum UTxO deposit per output: 2 ADA for outputs containing native tokens, and 1 ADA for pure ADA outputs. The cost estimator in the Config step accounts for this automatically.
Q8.Will this work for Midnight Network airdrops?
The current tool targets Cardano mainnet. Midnight mainnet support will be added once the Midnight Network launches and SDK tooling is available. The architecture is designed to support a second chain tab.
